“⁸ Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], stay alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around LIKE a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.” [1 Peter 5:8 (AMP)]

The key word is “LIKE.“ Satan only stalks “LIKE” a lion. He is NOT a lion. JESUS IS THE LION of the Tribe of Judah [Revelation 5:5].

Satan is only a copycat and impostor roaring “LIKE” a lion, to frighten and intimidate. The devil’s warfare against us is purely psychological. He is, in truth, rendered powerless by Christ’s victory over him on the cross and he cannot do the Christian any real harm.

Never forget:
